What to Bring
-
DSLR or Mirrorless camera
-
Lenses: The recommended lens for this trip is a wide-angle lens such as a 16-35mm or similar, which will be perfect for capturing stunning landscape shots. A telephoto lens (200mm or more) is also recommended to capture wildlife (there are a lot of sea eagles in the area) and create images with a sense of scale, such as comparing the size of the mountains to the small, picturesque houses of Lofoten. A regular lens (between 24 and 70 mm) is always useful.
-
Tripod: A sturdy tripod is necessary for sharp and steady shots as we will face the Arctic winds.
-
Extra batteries: It's going to be cold and your batteries will run out of juice quickly. Better to have some spare batteries with you.
-
Spare Memory Cards: A sufficient number of memory cards is crucial, so you don't miss any opportunities or run out of storage space during our photo sessions.
-
Headlamp: is essential when photographing in low light situations or at night, providing hands-free lighting for easy camera operation and movement.
-
A plastic cover or other protective gear can shield the camera from rain, snow, or other adverse weather conditions that may occur during our adventure.
-
Laptop with Lightroom or Photoshop
-
External Hard Drive for backup: better safe than sorry!
-
ND and polarisers filters will be useful as we are visiting a coastal area. They will help you to set the proper shutter speed and shaping the waves in the way you want for your composition.
